Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Assa Enterprises Inc.

Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Assist in regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical well-being.
  • Change non-sterile dressings and collect specimens as required.
  • Demonstrate infant care to new parents and assist with feeding.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, and mend clothing and linens as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Plan therapeutic diets and menus to meet the nutritional needs of our clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to our clients.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring our clients have access to essential items.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling to assist clients with mobility.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking to perform tasks.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Standing for extended periods and walking to maintain mobility.
  • Work under pressure to meet the needs of our clients.
