About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Oya Japanese Restaurant Sun Peaks. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces are clean and sanitized at all times.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Food Preparation and Handling
    • Assist in the preparation of food and beverages for service.
    • Handle and store food and cleaning products safely and efficiently.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Experience
      • Will train on the job.
