Job Description:

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Part-Time Professor of Software Engineering to teach a course on the principles of software engineering, including requirements, design, and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience in teaching similar courses.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a course on software engineering principles, including requirements, design, and testing
  • Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and exams
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in teaching software engineering courses
  • Strong background in software engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in industry or research in software engineering
