Painter Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Apprentice Painter. This is a temporary full-time opportunity until December 21, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and semi-skilled tasks of moderate difficulty in the Painter trade.
• Assist in and phases of Journeyperson's work.
• Attend in-school training as directed by the Industry Training Authority.
• Meet established standards and attain desired objectives.

Requirements:

• Up to high school completion required.
• Basic understanding of standard practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment as used in the Painter trade.
• Satisfactory attendance, safety, and performance record.
• Ability to work in a team environment and maintain effective relationships with coworkers.
• Ability and aptitude for this work.
• Knowledge of safety principles for this Trade.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the work.
• Valid BC Driver's Licence, Class 5 and Abstract.

Salary: $32.91/hour (Labourer 1 rate minimum payable). Rates increase as a % of the Trades 2 - Painter rate as follows:

• 1st 6 months of apprenticeship: 70.0%
• 5th 6 months of apprenticeship: 80.0%
• 2nd 6 months of apprenticeship: 72.5%
• 6th 6 months of apprenticeship: 82.5%
• 3rd 6 months of apprenticeship: 75.0%
• 7th 6 months of apprenticeship: 85.0%
• 4th 6 months of apprenticeship: 77.5%
• 8th 6 months of apprenticeship: 90%
