Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quantitative and qualitative research projects independently within the Research and Market Intelligence team.
The Senior Analyst will conduct in-depth analyses of research findings, ensuring methodological rigor and high-quality outcomes. These insights will inform various internal teams and BDC's strategic decision-making.
Key tasks include:
- Generating analyses from primary data to support diverse teams.
- Creating high-quality research reports and presentations tailored for stakeholders, including decision-makers, BDC partners, executives, and media.
- Managing research projects utilizing a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, such as:
- Surveys conducted internally via BDC's online panel or externally through market research firms.
- Facilitating in-depth interviews and focus groups.
- Employing other relevant research techniques to ensure comprehensive project execution.
Propose effective research methodologies, develop measurement tools, conduct statistical data processing, analyze results, and produce insightful research reports or summaries.
Advise and oversee research projects for various teams utilizing the Research and Market Intelligence services, ensuring the delivery of pertinent and high-quality information and recommendations.
Collaborate continuously with team members and stay updated on available information sources to guarantee timely and efficient report and analysis production.
Qualifications:
A university degree in humanities, social sciences, psychology, administration, or a related field is required; a graduate degree is an asset.
Experience in a research role involving surveys and interviews, with a history of writing research reports and preparing presentations for diverse audiences is essential.
Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in SME research is advantageous.
- A minimum of two years in a marketing research firm.
- Knowledge of the Canadian business landscape and a keen interest in economic news.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong quantitative analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS or Q Software is beneficial; candidates should be able to lead these analyses.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required, with the ability to conduct in-depth interviews in both languages.
