Position Overview

Qualicum Quality Care Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to our elderly residents. This role is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

Educational Requirements

Work Environment

The position is primarily based in a nursing home or similar facility dedicated to elderly care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document changes in patients' health status
  • Evaluate patients to determine suitable nursing interventions
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team to plan, implement, and assess patient care in consultation with patients and their families
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians
  • Operate or oversee medical equipment
  • Deliver nursing care effectively
  • Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of approximately 11-15 staff members.

Certifications and Licenses
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Registered Nurse licensure as required by provincial or territorial authorities
