Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at the Italian Centre Shop. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our produce section.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rotate produce in cooler and on floor regularly to maintain a visually appealing display
  • Work in coolers to receive and stock produce
  • Stock shelves and bins with fresh produce
  • Clean and package produce for displays
  • Assist customers in locating items and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of produce
  • Mark incoming produce with receiving dates
  • Engage in suggestion selling to promote sales
  • Perform other duties as required to support the produce department
Requirements
  • High School or GED from an accredited school system or program
  • Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused role
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional image
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Well-balanced concern for both task and people
  • Genuine concern for the needs of customers
