About the Role
As a Scraper Operator with CKB Construction, you will play a vital role in our field operations, working closely with our foreman to ensure the safe and efficient completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, moving large volumes of material as required.
- Complete field documentation, including equipment maintenance logs, to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Perform inspections, report deficiencies, and resolve minor maintenance or technical issues using established procedures.
- Follow directions from supervisors and colleagues, both verbally and through hand signals.
- Perform other related duties as required to support the success of our projects.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience operating a scraper, with Gradesman experience considered an asset.
- Valid CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance, and CSA-approved 8" steel toe work boots.
- Personal vehicle and valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions
As a Scraper Operator, you will work outdoors in various weather conditions, spending extended periods sitting in your vehicle or walking/standing on the job site. You must be willing to commit to 50+ hours per week at various project locations, with typical shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
