Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe, clean, and operational. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks and addressing any urgent repair needs that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers as necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience:
• Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly within institutional or healthcare settings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Understanding of general maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency in repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
• Competence in using computer systems for maintenance tracking.
• Ability to assess situations effectively and make informed decisions regarding maintenance needs.
