SMS Equipment Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Laval. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Analyze and diagnose equipment failures
  • Complete detailed reports on repairs and maintenance
  • Order and manage parts inventory
  • Test and inspect equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Meet scheduled time allotments for repairs
  • Communicate with customers and supervisors regarding repair status

Requirements:

  • Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of Komatsu products an asset
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to work with portable units
  • Valid driver's license
