Physiatrist Opportunity in Rehabilitation Medicine

The Island Health Division of Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a skilled physiatrist to provide consultative services at North Island Hospital Comox Valley and surrounding areas.

This is a general program providing the full scope of rehabilitation services, including medical, surgical, and psychiatric specialists on-site, as well as diagnostic services such as x-rays, nuclear medicine, sonography, CT, and MRI.

The physiatrist will provide consulting and directive care services without night call. Additional benefits include:

  • Two part-time positions available
  • May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary agreement
  • Benefits are pro-rated based on FTE
  • Recruitment Incentive - up to $10,000
  • Relocation Costs Reimbursement – up to a maximum of $15,000
  • Fee Premium: 6.93%
  • Retention Flat Fee: $10,077
  • Rural CME starting at $3,000/annum in years 3 and 4 in the community to a maximum of $6,000/annum after 4 years
