Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Ontario inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
  • Establish work schedules
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
Working Conditions:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.
