Job Title: Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Decor-Rest Furniture Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our facilities. This includes sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, as well as dusting furniture and vacuuming carpeting and upholstered furniture.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to prevent dust buildup
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a hygienic environment
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to prevent the spread of infection
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as required
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Basic security clearance and bondable
  • Criminal record check
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as required
  • Initiative and ability to take on additional responsibilities
  • Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Punctuality and ability to maintain a regular attendance record
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
