We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeology Specialist to join our team at Montrose Environmental Group. As a key member of our Hydrogeology team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on groundwater-related projects.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior hydrogeologists, engineers, and project managers to develop and implement hydrogeological investigations and monitoring programs.
- Design and execute field programs, including drilling, logging, and sampling, to collect and analyze data for groundwater-related projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing technical expertise and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Participate in the development of conceptual and numerical geological and hydrogeological models for municipal water supplies, source water protection, mining, and other projects.
- Contribute to the development of client relationships through project-based client interaction and business development efforts.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality projects and services.
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in hydrogeology, engineering geology, or geology with or licensing in Ontario.
- 5 to 10 years' documented consulting and/or industry work experience in hydrogeology, with a strong understanding of physical and contaminant hydrogeology.
- Experience with standard hydrogeological software, including Leapfrog Works, AQTESOLV, Groundwater Vistas, FEFLOW, Surfer, gINT, OpenGround, Global Mapper/ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python.
- Ability to design and execute field programs, including drilling, logging, and sampling, with knowledge of various drilling techniques and instrumentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients, regulators, and colleagues.
- Valid Canadian driver's license and ability to travel for short to medium-term assignments, with occasional overnight travel and flexibility to work outside normal business hours.
