Job Title: Cyber Security Implementation Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Implementation Architect to join our team at Challenger Motor Freight Inc. in Cambridge, ON, Canada. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to protect our organization's information systems and technologies.

About the Role:

The Cyber Security Implementation Architect will oversee the implementation, operation, support, and protection of our information systems and technologies across multiple companies under one entity. This role involves:

  • Designing and implementing complex cyber defense solutions in diverse environments
  • Conducting thorough assessments of our environments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies for mitigating cyber risks
  • Architecting and deploying comprehensive defense mechanisms, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to integrate security controls seamlessly into existing infrastructure and applications
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on cybersecurity best practices, incident response, and threat mitigation strategies
  • Implementing and helping enforce the NIST Framework
  • Staying abreast of emerging cyber threats and industry trends to continuously enhance our cybersecurity posture
  • Driving the acceleration of cybersecurity roadmap projects through effective planning, coordination, and execution
  • Understanding all networks and systems of the three companies within our group to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity coverage and alignment with organizational objectives
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; Cyber Security specialty a strong asset
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cyber operations and architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex cyber defense solutions in diverse environments
  • Proficiency with industry-leading cybersecurity tools and platforms, with a deep understanding of network security principles and protocols
  • Thorough experience adopting the NIST Framework within an organization
  • Experience with implementing Process and Policies aligned with Zero Trust Principles
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and mitigate security risks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ethical penetration testing experience considered an asset
  • Experience with server room operations and patching production servers
  • Experience in architecting and managing Office 365 and Azure environments
  • Experience in implementing failover and disaster recovery strategies
  • Experience working with SOC, Incident Response teams or Forensic teams
  • Experience in implementing PAM Solutions
  • CISSP Certification is an Asset
  • Proficiency in Industry adopted Frameworks & Methodologies (MITRE, ATT&CK, NIST, etc.)
