ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive repair orders from dispatch and execute tasks as outlined, ensuring efficiency and adherence to dealership and factory standards.
- Coordinate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
- Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service requirements.
- Tag and save parts for warranty jobs or upon customer request.
- Notify the Service Advisor promptly if additional work is necessary or if the outlined work is not required.
- Communicate job status to the dispatcher, especially for urgent or customer-waiting vehicles.
- Document all work performed accurately.
- Conduct road tests to verify the quality of completed work and report any issues to the Service Manager.
- Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions and stay updated on technical bulletins.
- Ensure customer vehicles are maintained in a clean condition.
- Keep the workshop area organized, clean, and free from safety hazards.
- Comply with all relevant regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
- Adhere to company safety policies and report any accidents to management immediately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- OpenRoad reserves the right to modify this job description as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Familiarity with automotive equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality work delivery.
- Self-motivated and organized individual.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the Service Department team.
- Commitment to consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to make sound decisions aligned with essential job functions.
- A valid British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Availability to work shifts on Saturdays.
