Position Overview: Survey Field TechnicianMcIntosh Perry provides a comprehensive range of Professional Survey Services tailored to meet client needs. Our offerings include legal retracements, topographic surveys, and various specialized survey services for both public and private sectors. Our team's expertise guarantees clarity and success throughout the project lifecycle. This position presents a promising career trajectory within a growing organization.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Completion of a college diploma in survey technology or civil engineering technology is advantageous;
- Strong mathematical aptitude;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
- Able to work in diverse and rugged environments;
- Physical capability to transport survey equipment over extended distances;
- Chainsaw safety certification is a plus;
- Experience with land surveying and survey instruments is beneficial;
- Willingness to travel within the region;
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with appropriate registration and insurance.
As a vital member of our Surveying team, you will assist the Field Supervisor in executing fieldwork for various survey projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections prior to jobsite departure;
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment;
- Ensuring all necessary equipment is operational and loaded for the day's tasks;
- Supporting the Field Supervisor with data preparation, in-field calculations, and data management;
- Operating and maintaining various survey equipment, including GPS and total stations;
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
