Legal Operations Governance Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Operations Governance Manager to enhance our Corporate Legal team. This pivotal position will engage with various stakeholders within the Chief Legal & Sustainability Officer group, contributing significantly to our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support critical initiatives related to data governance and information management, including system implementation and administration.
- Assist the Vice President, Legal with diverse projects and initiatives.
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions to promote best practices in data governance within the CLO Group.
- Educate team members on the significance of data governance in ensuring data quality and compliance with internal policies.
- Maintain the Law Library for the legal teams, ensuring resources are current and relevant.
- Oversee the implementation and administration of software solutions, acting as the primary contact for support and user acceptance testing.
- Analyze legacy records for retention and disposition in accordance with classification guidelines.
- Assist in preparing data rooms and support e-discovery and litigation activities.
- Collaborate on knowledge management efficiency projects, including data migration to various systems.
- Regularly review content in the Legal knowledge management SharePoint sites to ensure relevance.
- Produce documentation and process maps for internal procedures, seeking opportunities for process improvement.
- Act as the administrator for the Legal Tracker enterprise e-Billing system and iManage document management system.
Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze metrics and communicate insights effectively.
- Self-starter with the capability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering a creative team culture.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Information or Information Management.
- Expertise in data governance, business process modeling, and data quality.
- Strong understanding of data regulations, privacy, and ethical data use.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with both business and technical teams.
- Experience in project management and leading data governance initiatives.
- A collaborative team player with a solid grasp of change management principles.
