Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Evaluating new concepts to identify potential innovations
  2. Conducting thorough prior art searches
  3. Assisting in the preparation of patent applications
  4. Coordinating with engineering teams to monitor new patents
  5. Analyzing existing patents
  6. Assessing potential encroachment issues on third-party intellectual property rights related to Soucy's products

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:
  1. Academic or professional background in mechanical engineering
  2. Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering (preferred)
  3. Experience with patents (preferred)
  4. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
  5. Bilingual proficiency in French and English for drafting and translating patent-related documents
  6. An interest in product development and/or research and development (preferred)
  7. A passion for artificial intelligence and/or robotics (preferred)
  8. Attention to detail, patience, and the ability to maintain focus over extended periods
  9. Strong organizational skills and a structured approach to documentation management
  10. Self-sufficiency and resourcefulness
