About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Travellers Motel. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Laundry and Linen: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Support Services: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, visible minorities, and youth.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
