Job Title: Structural Engineering Technician

At Tech-Wood Building Components Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineering Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, participate in field surveys and inspections, and prepare construction specifications and estimates.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structures or systems and material requirements
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Prepare project schedules
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires on-site work. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and must have excellent attention to detail.
