About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team in Prince George. As a key member of our Parks & Solid Waste team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and associated equipment, including automated garbage collection vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy-duty trucks and associated equipment
  • Perform skilled work in the collection, transportation, and unloading of solid waste
  • Ensure waste collection is safely transported and disposed of
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and equipment

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education
  • Valid full privilege Class 3 BC driver's license with air endorsement
  • One year of experience as a truck driver operating on public roadways
  • Training in the operation of heavy-duty trucks and a good knowledge of solid waste collection methods
