About Dana

Dana is a leading global supplier of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming materials for contamination or defects.
  • Unband and unwrap raw coils.
  • Load coils onto uncoilers.
  • Calculate weights and copy coil data.
  • Set up cores on recoilers.
  • Prepare coils for the next shift, including splitting and flipping as necessary.
  • Check and maintain nickel baskets.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including cleaning roller seals and hydra seals.
  • Empty garbage, cardboard, and metal recycling bins.
  • Prepare aluminum drums for shipment.
  • Perform walk-arounds, including taking slugs, stickers, and incoming coil tags.
  • Check and replace equipment components, including spray nozzles, pumps, barrels, yarn filters, and brushes.
  • Enter data on charts, log sheets, and statistical charts.
  • Record scrap in the scrap log book and fill out JIT books.
  • Make adjustments to pumps and solution as necessary.
  • Check nickel thickness and lead percentage using X-Ray Florescence devices.
  • Check nickel adhesion on strip.
  • Perform titrations to determine etch percentage.
  • Inspect plated material for stains, burrs, and scratches.
  • Tape, remove, band, and inspect finished coils.
  • Assist team members with duties as necessary.
  • Assist operators and forklift drivers as needed.
  • Verify label information.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in coating and manufacturing process applications.
  • Problem-solving, communication, and arithmetic skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of TS16949, ISO14001, and ISO18001 systems.
  • Team player with ability to work with changing priorities.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Visual acuity and manual ability to position and load aluminum coil onto uncoiler tables, stands, and skids.
