Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Data Technical Architecture

IGM Financial Inc. is a leading diversified wealth and asset management company with a strong presence in Canada.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Data Technical Architecture to join our team. As a key member of our Data Office, you will be responsible for steering the technical architecture direction for our data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all technical solutions for the Data Office, ensuring they meet our technology standards and design patterns.
  • Partner with Data Architecture to develop estimates for Data Office work and manage a team of Solution Architects.
  • Represent Data at the Architecture Review Board and Enterprise Architecture meetings, ensuring new data patterns adhere to enterprise design patterns and standards.
  • Develop and maintain Data Office related roadmap items to support the evolution of our Data Platforms.
  • Engage with senior business leaders and project stakeholders on strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure pragmatic Data Platform solutions balance architecture and delivery opportunities and necessities.
  • Identify technical debt within the Data Platform solutions and work with the CDO and other Data Office management to address them in a timely manner.
  • Develop and support the growth of Solution Architects, Developers, Analysts, and Platform Specialists working in the Data Office.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in data architecture and technology standards.
  • Experience in managing a team of Solution Architects and developing estimates for data office work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to represent Data at architecture review boards and enterprise architecture meetings.
  • Ability to develop and maintain data office related roadmap items and ensure pragmatic data platform solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to engage with senior business leaders and project stakeholders.
