Residential Complex Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at 2396698 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our residential complex.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from the premises.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent litter and maintain a clean environment.
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment to ensure that all issues are addressed promptly.
• Perform safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
• Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate your independence and ability to work effectively with minimal guidance.
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the complex.

• Support newcomers and refugees by recruiting and assisting individuals who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
• Support foreign credential recognition to help newcomers and refugees integrate into the workforce.
• Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to promote diversity and inclusion.
• Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees to promote career development and advancement.
• Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
