Key Responsibilities
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Possess the skills and knowledge to navigate challenging mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Professionalism in Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition and adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Communication and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders.
  • Cargo Security and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A): Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Hold a valid passport, basic security clearance, and a bondable status.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Be familiar with bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, and trip reports.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess experience in international, local, long-haul, national, and provincial/territorial transportation.
