Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

VG Meats is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Logistics Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods and materials within our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the most efficient method of shipment and arrange shipping, preparing all necessary documents and records.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods from trucks and other conveyances, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents, recording any discrepancies or damage.
  • Unpack, code, and route goods to their designated storage areas, maintaining accurate records and inventory levels.
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination, accommodating changing schedules and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates and insights to management.
  • Lead and mentor team members to excel in their duties, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and 5 years of driving experience.
  • Able to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Driver's abstract and other relevant certifications or licenses.
