We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Security Software Architect to join our Robinhood Security Cryptography and IAM Platform team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale systems that meet the highest standards of security, scalability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement secure and scalable systems that meet the needs of our customers.
- Develop and maintain cryptographic services and libraries that power Robinhood's infrastructure key management and data encryption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Partner with management to improve team performance and contribute to the development of a high-functioning engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on security.
- Strong architecture and design skills, with experience in cloud native platforms and container orchestration technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to see the big picture and understand the impact of technical decisions on the business.
- Experience with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, OAuth, etc.).
- Experience with key management systems or data encryption.
- Strong ownership and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software lifecycle.
