Position Summary

As an EHS Specialist based in the Atlantic Region, you will play a crucial role in enhancing safety and environmental practices across our recycling facilities. Your key responsibilities will include providing guidance on EHS strategies, training staff, performing safety inspections, and monitoring EHS performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fostering a strong EHS culture
• Providing expert advice on EHS initiatives
• Conducting training sessions for supervisors
• Performing risk assessments
• Investigating incidents
• Auditing safety measures
• Addressing inquiries related to EHS
• Monitoring EHS performance indicators
• Onboarding training for new employees
• Supporting corporate EHS programs
• Assisting the Joint Health and Safety Committee
• Executing other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Diploma in EHS or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS
• Familiarity with relevant Acts and Regulations
• Excellent communication abilities
• Technical expertise in a manufacturing context
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
