Marketing Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Marketing Director to join our team at Connect Pet Expo. As a Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading our marketing efforts to drive brand awareness, reach, and new household conversion across Canada, the US, and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive business results and achieve marketing goals.
  • Lead a team of direct reports, including brand managers, social, and graphic designers, to ensure alignment with company values and key leadership competencies.
  • Partner with Digital, Sales, and GTM Strategy teams to drive shared business results and advance our brand platforms.
  • Develop and deploy marketing budget to drive brand awareness and new household conversion, analyzing marketing programs and adapting to business trends.
  • Champion the annual brand planning process and innovation pipelines to evolve and challenge the pet category.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA an asset.
  • Excellent communication and brand storytelling skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe suite an asset.
  • Progressive brand marketing experience; social, digital marketing, PR, experiential an asset.
  • Pet industry experience an asset.
