Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide single session therapy to walk-in children, youth, and families at our Sheldon Kennedy Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide single session therapy to walk-in clients, including children, youth, and families
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care
  • Liaise with other team members to develop and implement program plans
  • Participate in program planning, development, and supervision of practicum students
  • Conduct intake, clinical interviews, and screening of clients with addiction and mental health disorders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing
  • Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
  • 2 years of counselling experience
  • Registration with a licensing body under the Health Professions Act with ability to practice Restricted Activity Psychosocial Intervention in Alberta
  • Training in single session therapy, solution focused therapy, and motivational interviewing
Working Conditions

This position is open to Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychologists, and Registered Occupational Therapists. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients.
