The Division of Geriatric Medicine at Island Health is seeking a skilled Geriatrician to join our team. As a Geriatrician, you will work closely with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to provide clinical support to patients across Vancouver Island.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-patient and out-patient consultation and follow-up services
• Work with a geriatric psychiatrist in Campbell River
• Participate in clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners

Benefits:

• May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA)
• Recruitment Incentive: up to $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
• Relocation: up to $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
• Flat fee: $9,001
• Fee Premium: 6.09%
• CME: $2,000/annum year 3-4 and $4,000/annum after 4 years in the community

This is a permanent specialty position with no on-call duties. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with an elder-friendly design, serving a population of seniors in Campbell River.
