About the Role
The University of Ottawa is seeking a part-time professor to guide students in the intricate world of modeling complex problems using simulations. This role offers a unique opportunity to impart hands-on experience in developing and analyzing deterministic and probabilistic models, utilizing specialized software tools.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lectures on simulation techniques and their applications in business decision-making.
- Guide students through practical exercises and projects involving the construction and interpretation of simulation models.
- Foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Possess an MBA or a master's degree in a relevant scientific field (a PhD is highly desirable).
- Demonstrate recent professional experience in business analysis, ideally with a focus on modeling and simulation.
- Exhibit proven teaching experience, particularly in courses related to simulation, decision-making, or quantitative analysis.
