Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Assurance Partners and senior assurance personnel to effectively plan, coordinate, and oversee assurance engagements.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to staff involved in assurance projects.
  • Work alongside peers and senior management to ensure timely planning and completion of files.
  • Employ strong time management skills to meet deadlines, deliver high-quality work, and proactively address client concerns.
  • Execute additional accounting functions as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, including 3-5 years focused on assurance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Canadian Auditing Standards, Standards for Review Engagements, Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical abilities and creativity to identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Deep understanding of a client-centric environment, including the capacity to meet critical deadlines.
