Grain Elevator Operator

In this role, you will be responsible for unloading grain trucks and wagons, loading grain trucks outbound, operating a computer to identify load numbers, scale weights, grades, and other paperwork, and performing daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment. You will also receive grain and grade accordingly by sampling, testing, and weighing, and operate automated system grain dryers.

This is a seasonal role for Fall 2024, and you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be part of a team that values relationships, sustainability, and employee health and wellness.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable with computer/digital technology
  • An understanding of electrical panels
  • Physically fit to climb heights
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • A general knowledge and skills required to safely operate straightforward plant equipment, and/or machinery
  • Full G driver's license
  • Conversational English skills, with the ability to follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures; write and make accurate reporting entries, comprehend simple instructions
