Smart & Biggar is seeking a dedicated Salesforce Solutions Specialist to enhance our operational capabilities. As a leader in the legal and intellectual property sector, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and innovation.
The successful candidate will report to the Applications Manager and will leverage their administrative and development skills to optimize our Salesforce platform, ensuring it aligns with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Salesforce Administration & Development:
- Oversee Salesforce configurations, including user management, roles, permissions, and sharing settings.
- Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for data governance.
- Conduct regular system audits and prepare for Salesforce upgrades.
- Create and manage reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business functions.
- Develop and customize Salesforce applications utilizing APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems through APIs and middleware tools.
- Manage custom objects, fields, and validation rules.
- Refactor existing code to enhance performance and scalability.
- Stay informed on the latest Salesforce features and industry trends.
- Engage in Salesforce community events and networking opportunities.
- Identify and implement enhancements to the Salesforce platform and processes.
APEX Programming:
- Write and maintain complex APEX code to extend Salesforce functionalities.
- Develop APEX triggers, classes, and testing methods to ensure high code quality.
- Debug and resolve APEX issues while optimizing code performance.
Project Management and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in project planning, providing estimates and delivering solutions on schedule.
- Work closely with other developers and administrators to implement cohesive solutions.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I & II) are highly desirable.
- 3+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and development with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture.
- Proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
- Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with integration tools and third-party applications.
- Knowledge of additional commercial applications such as ERP or marketing automation platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Sales Cloud and Account Engagement (Pardot) is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; bilingualism is an asset.
- Willingness to travel for client engagement and training as necessary.
