The Cleaning Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleaning activities within various facilities, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Employment DurationThis is a temporary position requiring commitment to a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in diverse settings, including:
- Office buildings
- Commercial cleaning services
- Industrial plants
- Medical facilities
- Hotels and resorts
- Educational institutions
- Residential properties
- Shopping centers
- Restaurants
- Recruit and train cleaning personnel.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Recommend additional services such as repairs or renovations as needed.
- Assist cleaning staff in their duties.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules with other departments.
The supervisor will manage a team of:
- Janitors and caretakers
- Light duty cleaners
- Specialized cleaning staff
Applicants should possess:
- Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
- WHMIS Certificate
- Forklift Operator Certification
- First Aid Certificate
Candidates must be bondable and pass a criminal record check as well as a driving record check.
Physical RequirementsThis position requires:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility to perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
A minimum of 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience is required.
