About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Planning Manager to join our team at UNFI Canada. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing financial and operational support to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership to FP&A Analysts focused on reporting and analysis.
  2. Identify areas of improvement in reporting, increasing accuracy, timeliness, and profitability.
  3. Provide ad hoc analyses for Canadian Leadership team.
  4. Establish, maintain, and promote consistent methodology for implementation of analytics.
  5. Standardize and improve forecasting procedures with the goal of improving accuracy.
  6. Perform financial analysis and modeling, budgeting, forecasting, internal reporting, and analysis across divisions.
  7. Direct the development of operational budgets.
  8. Work closely with key business leaders to define critical information needs, providing guidance regarding availability of data, and data matter expertise regarding current financial systems.
  9. Communicate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  10. Lead financial analysis on several key projects covering Finance, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  11. Responsible for key financial reporting to all areas of the organization.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with a CPA designation or MBA.
  2. 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  3. Highly motivated individual who will aggressively pursue knowledge of the business to produce better and more useful information to support decision-making processes.
  4. Strong experience with accounting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis, process re-engineering, and system implementations, internal controls.
  5. Excellent analytical and modeling skills, in-depth experience with financial statement analysis, and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts such as discounted cash flow and valuation methodologies.
