Role Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Housekeeping Operations Manager to oversee housekeeping services in remote camp settings. This role operates on a rotational schedule of 14 days on duty followed by 14 days off, with travel provided from designated locations.
Reporting directly to the Camp Supervisor, the Housekeeping Operations Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, and organizing the housekeeping teams. This individual will play a crucial role in welcoming, integrating, and training new staff members while ensuring that quality standards are consistently met and upheld. Regular inspections and follow-ups with the teams will also be part of the responsibilities.
The key responsibilities of the Housekeeping Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
Supervise all housekeeping and maintenance personnel Conduct daily health and safety briefings; Ensure adherence to company standards by training staff in accordance with our quality assurance program; Facilitate the onboarding and training of new employees with appropriate leadership; Organize and schedule shifts based on operational demands; Guarantee compliance with all relevant quality control and assurance protocols through regular inspections; Present inspection outcomes to teams for training and ongoing improvement; Participate in daily maintenance activities as necessary; Collaborate with the camp manager on disciplinary matters. Oversee daily operations and manage the camp team; Perform additional tasks as required.Candidate Profile
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum of 5 years' experience in team leadership; Background in conflict resolution and human resources management; Proficiency in English; WHMIS 2015 certification; Experience in remote or regional labor camps is advantageous; Willingness to travel and work in remote locations on a regular rotation.Required Skills
Understanding of indigenous/Inuit dynamics is a significant asset; Strong stress management capabilities; Ability to remain calm, composed, and attentive; Detail-oriented, highly organized, and effective in managing shifting priorities; Capacity to take responsibility and communicate effectively with others; Enthusiasm for tackling challenges and embracing new initiatives.Additional Information
