In the role of Retail Operations Supervisor, you will report directly to the Group Sales Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient daily management of a retail department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the department team, collaborating closely with the manager to achieve operational excellence.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing clear instructions and monitoring their progress to ensure effective execution.
- Support the professional growth of team members through training on standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to all operational protocols and systems, offering corrective guidance when necessary and escalating issues to management.
- Handle administrative duties pertinent to the department.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assessing customer needs and making informed product recommendations.
- Advocate for company initiatives to both team members and customers.
- Uphold visual merchandising standards, including signage, product arrangement, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness on the sales floor.
- Address and resolve customer concerns using sound judgment and logical problem-solving skills.
- Provide assistance in other store areas as required by business demands.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a retail or service-oriented environment is preferred.
- Flexibility in availability is essential, as this role requires working various shifts, including weekends.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in assessing customer needs and making tailored recommendations.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
- Strong decision-making abilities grounded in good judgment.
- Relevant experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's product offerings is a plus.
