We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the specimen collection process, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and interact with patients, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they follow necessary test protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings with precision and accuracy.
- Collect and process special test specimens, such as medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials, while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other relevant data into our system, ensuring seamless processing of test results.
- Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
