The Role
As a Child Care Centre Worker with the Corporation, you will be part of a municipal child care facility that emphasizes a balance of stimulation and relaxation, forming the foundation for children's learning, growth, health, and overall well-being. Children are recognized as unique individuals who are competent, capable, curious, and full of potential. Each center prioritizes the needs of children, aiming to nurture learning focused on belonging, engagement, expression, and well-being.
The Child Care Centre Worker is responsible for various tasks, including the distribution of meals and snacks, maintaining cleanliness, handling laundry duties, and assisting in the care of children.
- The position reports to the Program Supervisor, Child Care Centre and includes the following responsibilities:
- Distributing meals and snacks.
- Performing cleaning duties and managing housekeeping supplies.
- Overseeing laundry for the Child Care Centre.
- Assisting with the care and supervision of children.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Completion of Grade 12 education; or
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
