About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Greenhouse Laborer to join our team at Amber Greenhouse & Farms Inc. as a key member of our cultivation and maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivation and Plant Care: Cultivate and maintain plants on our vertical farming system, ensuring optimal growth and development.
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including equipment and tools.
  • Harvesting and Handling: Hand harvest vegetables and other crops, and handle seedlings with care.
  • Soil Preparation and Management: Mix and prepare soils, and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
  • Pest and Disease Management: Report signs of insect or disease damage, and assist in applying insecticides and fungicides as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily progress, including weather conditions, plant growth, and any issues encountered.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job, with a focus on developing skills in horticulture and greenhouse management.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication, but proficiency in other languages is an asset.
  • Work Schedule: 35-40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the greenhouse and farm.
