Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate educator to join our team as a Full Time Math and Science Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Math and Science at the Grade 7-12 levels, with specific classes based on their strengths.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in all assigned courses
  • Develop and implement various instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student success
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks promptly
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Hold (or be eligible for) a valid Alberta teaching certificate
  • Passion for Christian Education
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of YKCS
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Canadian citizenship or eligibility to work and teach in Canada
Position Overview

This is a full-time, probationary position with a competitive salary based on education and experience. The start date is August 26, 2024.
