Job Description

Job Title: Elementary Counsellor - Inclusive Education Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary Counsellor to join our team at School District #83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap). As an Itinerant Counsellor, you will provide support to teachers and students in a variety of educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling services to students in elementary schools
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement inclusive education strategies
  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to support student well-being

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Counselling or related field
  • BC Certification as a School Counsellor
  • Experience working with students in elementary education settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
