Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mathematics Educator to join our team as a Contract Instructor for a Math course in our Academic Upgrading program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging math lessons to high school grade 11 students in a classroom setting.
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Maintain a positive and professional learning environment that fosters student success and satisfaction.
  • Assess student learning and performance through formative and summative evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Academic Upgrading staff and colleagues to ensure content relevance and consistent delivery of course materials.
  • Develop and implement strategies for classroom management to promote student engagement and motivation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching high school mathematics or a related subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to use learning management systems and other educational technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Alberta High School Math curriculum and its application in the classroom.
