Job Summary

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and creative Solver Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing new solver features to address customer needs in turbomachinery, aerospace, and other industries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop new solver features to address customer needs in turbomachinery, aerospace, and other industries;
  • Develop new algorithms and methods for computational heat transfer, using finite volume and/or finite element based methods;
  • Optimize pre-existing code and algorithms for both performance and accuracy;
  • Assist customer support staff to diagnose customer thermal models;
  • Perform maintenance in a large code system consisting of Fortran and C++ code.

Requirements

  • A PhD degree with specialization in computational heat transfer, or equivalent experience;
  • A deep understanding of the physics of conductive, convective, and radiative heat transfer;
  • Experience in structural analysis is a bonus;
  • Experience working with large solver codes in an HPC environment;
  • Strong software skills, including experience with Fortran, C++, CUDA, and MPI;
  • Experience with finite volume and/or finite element methods;
  • Proficiency with an engineering analysis package in a CAD/CAE environment;
  • Experience with scripting (e.g. Python) is beneficial.
