Woodstock Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients. If you are a compassionate and dedicated nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance.
Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS Certification.
- ACLS mandatory.
- Critical Care Nursing Certificate Preferred.
- Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal applicants.
- Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings, and self-motivated learning.
- The equivalent of one year's critical care experience within the past 3 years.
- Experience in CQI teams.
- Satisfactory Attendance for internal applicants.
- Experience in the following added skills pertinent to critical care: Below Drip Chamber Drug Administration, Specialized IV Infusions, Rhythm Interpretation, Thrombolytic Therapy, Hemodynamic Monitoring, and Ventilatory Care.
- Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence.
- Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check.
- Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses).
