Key Responsibilities- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Food Preparation: Prepare dough for a variety of products including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, along with icings and frostings tailored to recipes or specific customer requests.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Baking: Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
- Staff Training: Provide training to staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
- Special Orders: Handle and prepare special orders as needed.
- Cake Decoration: Frost and artistically decorate cakes and other baked goods.
- Production Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet established quality standards.
- Inspection: Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Machinery Operation: Operate necessary machinery for food preparation.
- Sales Oversight: Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Allergy Management: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Employment Duration: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
