Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure Resident Safety and Well-being: Implement protocols to prevent accidents, ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges, and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the safe storage, control, and administration of medications, as well as the efficient management of nursing supplies.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent, and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Skills and Experience: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, basic computer proficiency, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate, and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
